Empowered communities that provide for many of their basic needs locally and in an environmentally responsible way.
I feel that it I can help to bring a positive perspective to landscape while empowering my friends and neighbors in being stewards of our shared ecosystems. I feel that together we can design and build more resilient systems to meet the problems of climate change, peak oil, and economic destabilization. If we can grow the food we eat, revitalize the soil and water we rely on, then our communities grow stronger and healthier.
I teach self-reliance, the world's most subversive practice. I teach people how to grow their own food, which is shockingly subversive. Yes, it's seditious. But it's peaceful sedition.
